Vehicle Recall: Subaru Crosstrek and Forester

Announced 2026-10-19 · NHTSA

Subaru is recalling 8 model year 2026 Crosstrek and Forester vehicles because the castle nut on the left-front lower control arm ball joint may be improperly fastened, which can allow the ball joint to separate. Because of the risk of loss of vehicle control, owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the remedy is completed. Dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the left-front lower control arm ball joint assembly at no charge; owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 16, 2026.
